Ease your way into the evening and unwind after a busy day. Perfect for beginners or experienced students who want a slower paced yoga practice. In this class, we will focus on stretching poses and gentle flows. Various breathing techniques will be introduced that can release stress, reduce tension and promote relaxation. We then finish class with 15-20 minutes of meditation.
Week 1 - Vipassana Meditation: This classic Buddhist meditation trains us to wake up out of thoughts and to attend to our changing experience with a balanced mind and clear presence.
Week 2 - RAIN Meditation + Metta: This is a four-step practice that can be a powerful tool for working with difficult emotions and discovering the freedom of an awakened mind.
Week 3 - Mantra Meditation: This focus based practice can help to increase the neuroplasticity of the brain which allows us to create new perspectives.
Week 4 - Kripalu Meditation + Metta: This mindfulness meditation can support the mind in staying in the present moment with a nonjudgmental awareness.
Come as you are... prepare to de-stress, clear mental clutter, and connect to your highest self.
