Experience the healing benefits of mindfulness and nature. Unplug, breathe, and move with the earth. Join Katie for a hike and yoga in the woods. We’ll gather in the parking lot for a short pre-hike sequence to warm up the muscles we’ll be using the most, then hit the trails. Katie will lead a 45-minute yoga sequence about 2/3 of the way into the hike. You’re welcome to bring a mat, or see what it feels like to flow with your hands and feet touching the earth. Mantra offerings and mindfulness exercises will inspire a quiet hike down. We’ll wrap up with a gentle release at the end of the hike.
Hike Location: Bluff Head - Guilford (1.5 miles) Moderate-strenuous incline for the first 0.3 miles; a level walk to the view. We will pause for yoga then take an easy loop down. Easy/moderate yoga with a focus on standing poses. Wear sneakers or hiking shoes that you won’t mind keeping on for yoga. Bring water.

Katie's Ashtanga-inspired personal practice informs a passion for sharing the union of breath, movement, and stillness. Katie received her 200-hr training from EcoFitness and has additional training in Ashtanga, restorative and vinyasa yoga. Katie's yoga classes are designed to clear the path inward to our own peace and power. Off the mat, Katie loves to cook, read, hike, and learn.
