The Art of Teaching Restorative Yoga with Amy Ippoliti

  • CENTER Yoga + Wellness 36 Nod Rd. Clinton United States (map)
When you press the pause button on a machine, it stops. But when you press the pause button on human beings they start. You start to reflect, you start to rethink your assumptions, you start to reimagine what is possible and, most importantly, you start to reconnect with your most deeply held beliefs. Once you’ve done that, you can begin to reimagine a better path.
— Dov Seidman

How’s your nervous system handling these challenging times?

Are you experiencing anxiety? Distraction? Overstimulation from the feed?

Do you feel pressured, like your work is never done?

Are you a yoga teacher or wellness practitioner who wants to respond to the increased demand for restful education that regulates the nervous system?

We’re right there with you, and we get it!

Pausing long enough to reflect and listen to your innermost self and carving out time for rest these days is a radical act.

We all know that chronic stress has consequences to your health and well being – contributing to heart disease, hormone disruption, poor gut health, emotional instability, lack of quality sleep, anxiety, depression, and more.

The term “dysregulated nervous system” is now a buzzword for burnt out, anxious, and unwell.

In today’s relentless, smart phone-addicted world, being skilled in your own practice of Restorative yoga and being able to offer it to your students (both in group and private settings) is so essential to honoring the body’s natural rhythms and need for rest!

It’s no surprise then that Restorative yoga has exploded in popularity in recent years and that's exactly why we’re offering this important training: The Art of Teaching Restorative Yoga.

Why Restorative Yoga?

Even if we sleep through the night, we rarely make time to really rest. And let’s face it - most yoga classes these days are depriving students of the quintessential restorative posture, savasana! Our students are craving deep relaxation, but don’t necessarily know where to turn to get the rest their body, mind, and spirit needs.
