True Flexibility - Heated Yin Yoga for Release, Restoration & Resiliency

yin yoga petra.jpg

Do you want to increase your flexibility while quieting your mind? Did you know that holding a pose for 90 seconds or longer can drastically change the way your body responds to the stretch? Join us for an evening that will leave your heart glowing, your body vibrant and your mind still. Yin yoga, practiced in a heated room, allows us to deeply access and increase our flexibility while calming the parasympathetic nervous system. As a somewhat passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia, the connective tissues of the body.

  • warm up the body to prepare for deeper opening with an invigorating flow (~15 minutes)

  • then slow it down with supported yin poses to improve your flexibility and gain a larger range of motion

  • promote self-regulated healing by activating the parasympathetic nervous system

  • alleviate tension and stress, and release energetic toxins

Workshop held in a gently heated room.  All levels class, minimal yoga experience necessary.

When: May 24th, 7:00 - 8:30pm

Fee: $25/preregistration; $30 day of workshop; members 10% off
