Join Emily for a two hour introduction to yoga. In this fun, instructional workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of vinyasa, movement and breath. Emily will introduce simple alignment principles that will prepare you to address your own individual needs, helping you to cultivate a yoga practice rich in confidence, safety and authenticity. Let’s take the intimidation out of yoga, have fun and learn how to bring the best out of yourself with this supportive, balancing practice. In this workshop you will:
• Create stable foundation in your yoga postures
• Find out how to use props to support your practice
• Learn pranayama (breathing techniques) to reduce stress and create energy
All levels are welcome for this unheated class. Prepare to learn something new and leave feeling excited about your yoga practice!

RYT200, Emily has practiced yoga since she was a high school student but decided to pursue her teaching certification when she was pregnant with her son, Hank. Certified through Tiny Buddha Yoga in Ann Arbor, MI, Emily helps her students find their truest selves through their yoga practices. Emily studied dance at Connecticut College, and believes that body awareness is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Emily leads yoga classes with a focus on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness, and believes that yoga is so much more than just the physical practice.
