Nicole

Nicole, RYT200, took her first Heated Power class at CENTER Yoga on June 1, 2023, and was immediately drawn to the community she discovered, practicing in the studio 5+ days each week. To deepen her understanding of Ashtanga and to share her passion for the practice, Nicole completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at CENTER Yoga + Wellness in May 2025, led and mentored by Petra Appleget.

As a lifelong athlete, Nicole brings a wealth of fitness experience to her mat—as a state championship gymnast, marathon runner, and Ironman triathlete. Through years of training, she discovered the grounding power of the breath, which supported her in every endeavor. Yet it was on her yoga mat that Nicole found true peace—quieting the mind through the balance of effort and ease. She believes that breath expands physical potential, and her thoughtfully sequenced flows are rooted in pranayama, alignment, and meaningful themes.

Additionally, Nicole completed Vesselify's 27.5 hours of Advanced Hands On Assist training with Amy Ipolitti and looks forward to supporting students with assists in order to deepen their experience on the mat.  Off the mat, Nicole is the Executive Director of Kids' Scholarship Fund and a Madison mom of 4 children.  Nicole credits her dedication to yoga with one word:  Ubuntu, "I am because we are."

Book that changed your life? The Celestine Prophecy

What inspires your teaching? My deepest inspiration is unlocked by students who come to class with energy to learn and grow.

What do you hope students feel after class? "Just one."  I hope my students grasp just one nugget of "new" to carry with them as they move forward on and off the mat.  I hope they feel energized, powerful, and satiated.
