Kristen
Kristen’s yoga journey began decades ago in Boston, where she was drawn to the camaraderie of the yoga community and the balance of physical challenge with focused calm. Yoga quickly became a refreshing alternative to the gym and a grounding outlet after busy days.
When she returned to the Shoreline, Kristen continued her practice CENTER yoga — seeking greater flexibility and relief from pain. Over time, her dedication to practice, particularly in hot power yoga classes, inspired her to complete the 200-hour Teacher Training at CENTER. Now, she’s excited to guide fellow yogis toward safe alignment and mindful postures that both improve and prevent injury.
A lifelong equestrian and runner, Kristen struggled with chronic back pain, which has significantly improved through consistent yoga practice. Her own experience of healing has become the heart of her teaching—motivating her to help others ease discomfort, build confidence, and discover relaxation through yoga.
Favorite pose right now? I like malasana and try to have it in every practice. We can all benefit from a nice deep hip opener.
