Getting there and back…

We highly recommend departing the U.S. on a Thursday evening June 4th for an overnight flight (10hr non-stop from from New York or Boston), allowing you to arrive in Athens on Friday. Spend a day and night exploring the city before continuing your journey to Amorgos Island on Saturday via high-speed ferry (5-6hrs). For your return, you may take the ferry on Friday, June 12th, and enjoy one or two nights in Athens before flying back to the U.S.

From your chosen arrival city in Greece, take a ferry to Amorgos Island in Cyclades . Please note that some ferries make multiple stops and the journey may be quite long. You can find more info and book your ferry here: https://amorgos-aegialis.com/how-to-get-to-amorgos/

We highly recommend booking high speed ferry with a direct route to Amorgos, which will be running in June 2026. If you choose to fly to Athens and travel from the port of Piraeus to Amorgos, you can either embark a Blue Star ferry (approximate travel duration: 8 hours) or a high-speed vessel (approximate travel duration: 4-5 hours). Ferry cost fluctuate but rage of 80-110 euros each way. We recommend upgrading your journey for a small fee to VIP to enjoy private lounge with spectacular views.

If you choose to travel from Santorini, you can embark a high-speed vessel that brings you to Amorgos in 1-3 hours. Naxos is 2-3hrs away from Amorgos depending on the vessel. Athens will be the longest travel time, but also might be the most affordable. Once in Amorgos transportation from the port to the hotel is included and will be arranged for you.
