Stress really starts to ramp up when your child hits middle and high school. Relaxation, stress management and mindfulness are learned skills that must be practiced to be integrated into daily life. When we hit pause for a moment on math, soccer or other commitments and teach our children how to slow down, be present and care for their bodies, the result is focus, fact retention, joyfulness and contentment. In this class series, you will:
• learn the fundamentals of yoga and mindfulness in a safe and fun environment
• give yourself and your child the tools to alleviate stress and anxiety
Start your new year off by getting yourself and your child mentally and physically strong. Suitable for all levels of yoga experience, ages 11 and older.
When: Wednesdays, February 20 - March 27, 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Fee: $75 for six-week series or drop-in with class pass or membership.
Other: Parents welcome to participate or drop off child. Class is unheated.
RYT 200, Sue started coming to yoga after surviving cancer. Sue focuses on creating a safe and welcoming environment, teaching a step-by-step approach while reminding students of their own breath and to listen to their bodies during practice. Sue also recently became Reiki Master.
